Tuesday, February 7, 2012

7:00-9:00 PM

Author & film and television producer
Simon Lewis will discuss

RISE AND SHINE

Simon Lewis is a film and television producer and the author of RISE AND SHINE, a memoir about his remarkable recovery from a catastrophic car accident that left him in a coma, and his journey from near death back to full recovery. It is difficult not to be moved by Lewis' story.

After earning law degrees from Christ's College Cambridge and Boalt Hall, Simon moved to Los Angeles. His Hollywood experience includes producing "Look Who's Talking," "The Chocolate War," and the Emmy award-winning film "Age Old Friends" starring Hume Cronyn.

Simon Lewis found ways to recover physically and mentally beyond all expectations. RISE AND SHINE tells about his pilgrimage toward health, about astonishing breakthroughs in medical science, and about moving forward by tapping into the potential of the human mind, body and spirit.

He has been a featured speaker at TED, INK and other popular online conferences where he has spoken about his recovery over the past decade - and about faith, inspiration, and never giving up.
